For their tenth wedding anniversary Gianni organizes a surprise party for Nele. But Nele and Gianni are not the only couple that has problems. Her friends Monika and Heinz are in a marriage with a division of roles. The older son Timo rebels violently against his parents. Anton, on the other hand, is extremely happy in his relationship with Clara. Nele and Gianni both recognize that they do not want to risk their relationship and decide to kickstart their sex life with the help of a therapist.

Heinz finally leads Monika to dinner again. Meanwhile, Timo and Benny are allowed to have dinner with Nele and Gianni. Ironically, Davorka also sits at the table and brings Gianni more than once during the lively conversation about love, sex and contraception sweat. And while Nele continues to dream of a better job, Gianni now recognizes his own wishes thanks to therapy: he wants a child.

Heinz organizes a trip to the forest to give his son a sense of masculinity. But Timo clearly shows that he would rather be somewhere else and breaks away. So he misses the intimate confessions of adults around the campfire: Anton has a secret account, Gianni gives his one-night stand, and Heinz shocks his friends with the revelation that he is afraid Timo is not his biological son. At the same time Davorka entertains the women's group that has gathered at Nele, with their men's stories.

After Nele gets involved in Gianni's family planning, they have sex again. Nele admits to the therapist that she is thinking of other men. But then out of the blue Nele's ex-boyfriend Sirio turns up and makes her advances, Gianni's jealousy is aroused. Shortly afterwards, when Nele hears of Gianni's affair with her friend Davorka, she uses his misstep to her advantage: she demands Rachesex as compensation. Gianni agrees, but only if the lover is not Sirio: Who will Nele sleep with?

Monika is angry at Heinz for letting Timo go to boarding school. To distract herself from the separation pain of the son, she voluntarily works extra shifts. Meanwhile, Gianni himself is tormented by the question of whether Nele has gone astray. Anton decides to enjoy his life without Clara and consoles with sex, cars and alcohol; Nele and Gianni confer and announce in couple therapy that they have found an extreme solution for their future.

Nele and Gianni tackle the details of their open relationship: clear rules, clear agreements, no secrecy. In the course of the new openness, the circle of friends is told about it over dinner and produce a variety of reactions. Monika uses the opportunity to confess that she has never had an orgasm; While Gianni goes to bed with Gloria Nele embarks on a night with Chris. Heinz visits Monika in psychiatry and wants to go back to their old ways as soon as possible. He seeks help from Gianni; The moving men are already in the apartment, as Nele receives bad news, which not only turns their lives upside down, but also that of Gianni. Is there still a chance for both?
